Crystal is a long-time MUMs passenger who has become one of our helpers.
By God's Grace and with the help of many of our MUMs drivers, Crystal has overcome great adversity and many disadvantages to become a productive, vital part of the Body of Christ.
She used to be "crack" addicted, and sometimes she still struggles with her past life. At other times, her past life opens a door that allows her to help someone else with their struggles.
On Friday, she sat down across the desk from me at the MUMs office and told me the following:
A week before, at the Holy Spirit's compelling, she had gone to talk to a lady who (according to the lady's daughter) was an alcoholic. Crystal wondered why God would send her, since Crystal's problem has been with "crack" cocaine and not with alcohol. But, she went!
On her first visit, the woman was not very receptive, but Crystal went ahead and witnessed to her about how God had delivered her from "crack" and told the lady that God loved her and that God could help her, too!
A couple of days later, the Lord again spoke to Crystal about this same lady. Crystal said, "I could tell that she didn't like much what I had to say, and I really was scared about going again to her home, but I was so grateful that God was talking to me and giving me directions, that I did not want to disobey!"
At the front door, Crystal was met with crossed arms and a cool look. Pushing her fears aside, she forced a smile and said, "Hi! I just came by to tell you that I love you, and God loves you, and if you ever need me for anything or if you ever need someone to talk to, I am here for you."
The woman said , "I don't have friends and I don't want friends, but I do want you to tell me something before you go." Then she asked, "How did you know?"
"Know what?", Crystal asked.
"How did you know that I use 'crack'? Nobody knows. I cover it up with alcohol and everybody thinks that I am an alcoholic. Not even my daughter knows. How did you know?"
In awe and amazement, Crystal replied, "Ma'am, I didn't know, but God knows, and He sent me here to you because He loves you, and He wants to help you, and He can set you free, even from 'crack' addiction."
Crystal paused in her narrative. Tears welled up in her eyes as she proclaimed, "Brother Randy, without MUMs I would still be lost, just like she is. You guys gathered around me and helped me to believe that Jesus could REALLY help me."
Her face reflected a deep gratitude, "And now He is even using me to try to help her!"

Beloved,
Now it is our turn . . . In prayer, let's join with Crystal on behalf of this woman. Crystal has planted some good seed in her life. Now, let us pray that she will be enabled to RECEIVE the Good News that Crystal has brought to her. Through our prayers and through whatever other contacts the Holy Spirit might choose to establish, we become a mighty army fighting on this lady's behalf. May the enemy lose this particular battle for her soul, and may he lose many, many more battles in the days to come. Thank you and Blessings to you!!
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also, through Christ, our comfort overflows. 2 Cor. 1:3,4
