  "And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying,  'Glory to God in the highest.  Peace on earth.  Good will to men'"

In the midst of a terrible war, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the following words:

And in despair I bowed my head
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men."

The first verse is more familiar to us:
I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

On this Christmas day, let us look to God with thankful and grateful hearts.  Let us look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.  Let us look to a future filled with His goodness as we follow Him.  Let us look to the needs of others, and send help wherever we can.

Yes, the tares ARE growing, but the wheat is growing too!!
A great harvest  is in the making!!
