Personal Note to the Reader

Well, Christmas has come and gone for another year, and here we stand at the doorway of 2007!
 
I hope you have enjoyed reading these little bits of the lives of some of our neighbors here in Maury County. 
 
For the last two years, by e-mail, we have sent out the 12 Days of Christmas.  Each year, some of our readers have commented that they have been stirred to MORE PRAYER for those who struggle in our midst. 
 
Some have decided that they can DO MORE to help those in need, either by volunteering to help a local charitable organization or a local church, or by giving financially to a local institution that helps the needy.  
 
Those of us who see the needs and the needy on a daily basis, want to thank you for ALL this support.  And we want to send our appreciation out to all those who are not "full-time", but who volunteer all across this county in every place where there is need.
 
Simply put, without your support, we fail.  The need is far too large to be met by a few.  This field is far too immense to be worked by one or two, or ten or twenty.  Only as literally hundreds and thousands of us join arms together, some working in the field, others sending supplies to the field, others interceding for those in the field, will the needs be met.
 
And, we LOVE  to be in the field. 
        We are CALLED BY GOD to be there. 
                We find our PURPOSE IN LIFE in fulfilling that call. 

So, in the year to come, should you find yourself driving through the mission field of Maury County, should you hear a lbit of a noise out in the distance . . . . . And, as you draw closer to the commotion and tune your ear to the sound, here is what you might discover. 

It's just a grateful me, and others like me,
out there on the Maury County Mission-field,
        Joyfully jumpin', hollerin', and shoutin'
                      something like this . . . . . .
